Members of Uwezo Youth Empowerment, organization of disabled young Rwandans, vow to provide their contribution towards the development of Rwanda and proving that disability is not inability.    Omar Bahati, Uwezo Youth Empowerment president revealed this statement in youth special community work (Umuganda) on 17 October 2015 in Nduba Sector, Gasabo District. “Disabled youth are not left behind in the fight for Rwanda’s development, that is why we are partnering with our fellows who are not disabled in this community work,” said Bahati. He added that “if we are left behind, it is part of Rwanda’s strength which are being unexploited”.  In the very community work, youth of Nduba sector in Gasabo District, including disabled youth started building the shelter for Eugenie Mukabakunde, a 33 years mother of one child who is accommodated by neighbors because her house has been demolished by the rain. Mukabakunde presented her gratitude to young Rwandans who took the initiative of building a shelter to her. The foundation has been completed. Apart from their participation in the Community work, Uwezo youth Empowerment members delivered a check of 160,000 Rwandan Francs to Nduba sector to facilitate the final works of the house and health insurance for 20 poor peoples.       They handed also some foodstuffs and soaps to Mukabakunde in order to assist her in daily lives.
