Internship

The MOH Internship Program is a one-year intensive internship training program for medical doctors and dental surgeons who have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in general medicine and surgery or dental surgery in or out of country.

The MOH Internship program provides opportunities for interns to gain practical work experience and acquire more skills and knowledge. During the twelve-month internship period, medical doctor interns are required to perform procedures/cases while rotating in three-month intervals in major clinical departments including, Internal medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics & Neonatology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Candidates applying for the internship program must have the relevant qualifications and recommendations from an academic institution. They acquire the provisional license for internship from the Rwanda Medical and Dental Council (RMDC) then submit their applications for internship via the Health Workforce Management System (HWMS) .  The internship certificate is provided after completion of the internship program.
