“As a health facility, we have been using the digital system for about a year now, and its impact has extended well beyond patient care and administration. It has strengthened disease surveillance by enabling us to detect emerging health trends earlier through real-time, location-based data. This has improved our ability to work closely with local authorities to organize targeted community actions such as Umuganda, while also supporting joint efforts to alert and educate nearby communities on prevention measures. These interventions are only possible because we can now analyze reports, identify outliers, and detect patterns that were not visible in paper-based systems.
