The Department focuses to:
Establish coordination and partnership with stakeholders
- Developes and strengthens a relationship with stakeholders and organize meetings for annual review and reviews at the end of programs.
- Ensure orientations and resolutions of Planning, Health Financing and Information System (PHFIS) Technical Working Groups are well implemented.
Ensure the decentralized entities are implementing properly health related policies
- Coordinate the formulation, update, review harmonization and implementation of policies, strategies, protocols, norms, guidelines and standards for planning and Monitoring & Evaluation and ensure their use.
- Conduct the development and regular reviews of action plans of the MOH, its departments and units.
- Ensure that the national health policies /priorities are highly considered in the sector planning process.
- Draw, document, disseminate and apply good practices and lessons learnt in new and revised planning.
- Provide MOH timely and accurate data for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Health Information System.
- Provide capacity building to District and hospitals in areas of planning, data management and M&E.
- Coordinate out-going reports of the health sector.
- Provide capacity building to Districts and hospitals in areas of planning, data management and M&E.
