The Planning, Policies and Capacity Building Unit promotes the development of the Rwandan Health System through the cycle of planning, executing, monitoring and evaluating policies in a sector wide approach.
Major Responsibilities:
- coordinates the elaboration of policies, sector strategies and standards within the Ministry of Health;
- coordinates and evaluate the application of the national policies within the Ministry;
- coordinates the drafting of the legal and lawful texts as regards health care;
- Conducts monitoring and evaluation related to the application of policies and programs
- Exploits reports on the functioning of health Districts, hospitals and national reference services.
